The Falkland Islands has always be intriguing. It came into focus first in 1982 with the war between Argentina and the UK. As recently as a few years back, Top Gear brought it back into focus. Jeremy Clarkson had a number plate FLK1982 which the Argentinians took to be a mockery. The Top Gear team was thrown out of Argentina. Locally the islands are known as Islas Malvinas. The Great South American Journey: Ushuaia

‚ÄčI have been waiting for this moment for a long time. On Nov 18th, I finally boarded the plane to set off for my very own South American Journey.  It took almost 30 hours to get to Ushuaia from London and at the end of it, I was quite exhausted. I had boarded the plane at London City Airport at 11am. However I was at the airport at 6:30am.
