About

Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you.

Anthony Bourdain

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness

The journey not the arrival matters

Hey There!

Thank you for visiting my website.

I am Meghraj – my friends call me Megh.

As a young boy growing up in India, I had the instinct to learn and explore. It has taken over two decades to make that young boy’s dream a reality of sorts (it is still a constant financial struggle!). Since 2016, I have been nomadic and have travelled across Asia, Americas and Africa. Prior to 2016, I have lived in London, in Sydney and in Singapore.

I love to eat, to drink (anything alcohol except tequila) and to immerse myself in art, history and culture. Think of my favourite sitcom character Frasier Crane and my favourite traveller Gunter (see below) rolled into one.

CRAVE Journey was created in 2016 before I went to Africa. I wanted my exploration to be more than a bucket list, a check list, mitigation for FOMO and so on. I wanted my travels to be meaningful and thus started this blog and my subsequent travels.

The featured post on “Philosophy of Exploration” explains more of my thoughts. Please have a read.

Here on my blog, you are going to get my perspectives on my travels. It is not designed to help you plan your travels per say though there could be updates which could help you. I want this blog to serve two purposes

  1. Give you my perspectives and opinions on the places I explore.
  2. Be a conduit of information to educate like minded explorers on the vast beauty (and darkness) of our world – our planet, we call Home: Mother Earth.

In the Exploration Section, I detail my travels: My experiences, my emotions, my ideas and my connections

In the Education Section, I provide factual information, obtained from multiple sources, to give you a short summary on a diverse set of elements within our world.
